A Joyful Introduction to Violin for Beginners

Our Little Strings Adventure Camp offers a fun and engaging introduction to violin in a warm, encouraging, and creative environment.

Designed especially for children ages 6–8 with little or no prior experience, this 5-day summer camp introduces students to the fundamentals of violin playing while building confidence, coordination, listening skills, and a love for music.

Throughout the week, children will explore:

• Basic violin posture and setup

• Proper bow hold and beginning bow technique

• Rhythm and listening skills

• Introductory music theory

• Musical games, movement activities, and creative exercises

• Fun, age-appropriate music history and composer-inspired activities

Each day is thoughtfully structured to balance focused learning with playful exploration. Students participate in hands-on musical activities that support both musical development and self-expression in a joyful and nurturing setting.

Our supportive teaching approach helps every child feel comfortable and successful as they begin their violin journey. By the end of the week, students will develop a strong beginner foundation and the confidence to play simple rhythms and melodies.
