Age Requirements for Private Lessons

• Piano and violin: Starting at age 4½ to 5. Children must be able to recognize letters.

• Drums and voice: Minimum age of 6.

• Guitar and flute: Starting at age 8–9.

A trial lesson gives students and families the opportunity to meet the instructor, experience our teaching approach, and determine whether private lessons are the right fit.

​

During the lesson, the instructor will work with the student at their current level, observe their learning style and musical strengths, and provide feedback to guide placement and next steps.

​

Trial lessons are supportive and relaxed, with no prior musical experience required.

Ongoing private lessons start at $260/month, with one recital participation included and flexible monthly enrollment.

​Trial Lesson Rescheduling Policy: Trial lessons are reserved specifically for you and your instructor and cannot be rescheduled. An exception may be made for illness with a doctor’s note and at least 48 hours’ advance notice.
