Music Theater Lab is a 13-week group program where young children explore the exciting world of musical theatre through singing, movement, acting, imagination, and storytelling in a joyful and supportive environment. Each week, students discover how music, movement, and dramatic play work together to tell a story. Through engaging theatre games, creative movement, simple choreography, musical activities, and imaginative role-playing, children build confidence while developing their voices, coordination, creativity, and expressive abilities. Students learn beginning vocal skills, stage movement, character expression, and teamwork through age-appropriate songs, stories, and dramatic activities inspired by children's musical theatre. Every class encourages imagination, communication, cooperation, and self-confidence while fostering a love for the performing arts. Throughout the semester, children will: Sing fun musical theatre songs Explore creative movement and simple dance steps Develop beginning acting and storytelling skills Practice rhythm and musical expression Build confidence performing in front of others Learn to work together as an ensemble Make new friends in a fun and encouraging environment The semester concludes with a Mini Musical Theatre Performance in December, where students will proudly share a selection of songs, movement, and short dramatic scenes for family and friends in a relaxed, supportive setting. This special event celebrates each child's creativity, confidence, and growth throughout the semester. Whether your child loves to sing, dance, pretend, or simply express themselves creatively, Music Theater Lab provides the perfect first step into the wonderful world of musical theatre.
