🎻 Violin Group Class: Beginner Strings (Ages 6–9) Ages: 6–9 Years Old Length: 13 Weeks Semester: September 11 – December 11, 2026 Class Length: 45 Minutes No Class: Thanksgiving Week (November 28–29, 2026) Minimum Enrollment: 4 students required to run the class. Our Beginner Violin Group Class is a 13-week program consisting of 45-minute weekly lessons designed to introduce young students to the fundamentals of violin playing in a fun, supportive, and collaborative group environment. Students will develop a strong musical foundation while learning proper violin posture, bow hold, bowing technique, pitch awareness, note reading, rhythm, ear training, and basic ensemble skills. Through engaging activities and age-appropriate repertoire, students will build confidence, coordination, careful listening skills, and musical expression while enjoying the experience of making music together. After successfully completing the Level 1 Fall Session, students will have the opportunity to continue into the Level 2 Spring Session, where they will expand their technique, improve tone production, develop more advanced bowing skills, and perform increasingly challenging repertoire as part of a violin ensemble. Please note: There will be no class during Thanksgiving week. That week is not included in the 13-week program. Group classes do not offer makeup lessons for missed classes. Violins are provided for use during class and are regularly cleaned and sanitized to ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment. Method books are provided during each class and remain at the academy. Families who wish to practice at home may purchase the same method book through the academy or on their own. Instrument Rental: Students who do not have a violin at home may rent an instrument from the academy for $55 per month, subject to availability. Classes will run with a minimum of 4 students. If enrollment is low, age groups may be combined based on age and skill level.
