🎸 Beginner Guitar Group Classes – Level 1 (Ages 9–11) Ages: 9–11 Years Old Length: 13 Weeks Semester: September 14 – December 14, 2026 No Class: Thanksgiving Week Class Length: 45 Minutes Minimum Enrollment: 4 students required to run the class. Course Description Ready to learn your first chords and play your favorite songs? Our Beginner Guitar Group Class is the perfect introduction for young musicians who are excited to begin their guitar journey in a fun, supportive, and interactive group setting. Throughout this 13-week semester, students will learn the fundamentals of guitar playing while building confidence, developing musical skills, and enjoying the experience of making music together. Classes are designed for beginners and provide a strong foundation through engaging activities, guided instruction, and ensemble playing. After completing the Level 1 Fall Semester, students will have the opportunity to continue into Level 2 in the spring, where they will expand their skills, learn more advanced techniques, and perform increasingly challenging songs. Don't have a guitar? No problem! Music Love Academy offers guitar rentals for $55 per month (subject to availability), making it easy to practice at home throughout the semester. Students Will Explore: 🎸 Proper guitar posture and technique 🎸 Tuning and basic guitar care 🎸 Reading chord charts and tablature 🎸 Essential beginner chords 🎸 Rhythm and strumming patterns 🎸 Fingerpicking basics 🎸 Chord transitions 🎸 Playing simple songs 🎸 Ensemble playing and listening skills 🎸 Effective home practice strategies Benefits of Group Guitar Classes: Build confidence while learning with friends Develop rhythm, coordination, and musicality Learn teamwork through ensemble playing Receive guidance from an experienced instructor Establish a strong foundation for future guitar study Enjoy making music in a positive and encouraging environment Important Information: No class will be held during Thanksgiving Week. The Thanksgiving break is not included in the 13-week semester. Group classes do not offer makeup lessons for missed classes. Guitars are provided for use during class and are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Students are encouraged to practice at home. Guitar rentals are available for $55 per month (subject to availability). Classes will run with a minimum enrollment of 4 students. If enrollment is low, age groups may be combined based on skill level.
