    Madalina Petric
Founder & Director

Madalina Petric is the Founder and Director of Music Love Academy and Madalina Petric Piano Studio, where nearly three decades of experience in performance, education, and leadership unite in programs taught with love and excellence.

Music Love Academy was not simply opened. It was built from the ground up, from a long-held dream in Madalina’s heart to offer the Fairfax community something meaningful, thoughtful, and expansive. She envisioned a school with a broader perspective, one that welcomes more people, serves more needs, and reflects the full spectrum of human experience through music.

Every program at Music Love Academy is personally developed by Madalina and reflects her belief that music education must be intentional, inclusive, emotionally meaningful, trauma aware, and responsive to the whole person.

Originally from Baia Mare, Romania, Madalina began studying piano at the age of five. Her dedication led to national and international performances, including Mozart’s Piano Concerto with the Satu Mare Orchestra at sixteen. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy and dual Master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Arts Management from George Mason University.

With nearly thirty years of experience as a performer, educator, and arts leader, Madalina has devoted her life to helping people not only learn music but truly fall in love with it. She believes music heals, regulates, connects, and sustains us through every stage of life, a truth shaped by her own lived experiences when music became a grounding and restorative force.

Her leadership background includes more than a decade as a nonprofit Program Director designing large scale music initiatives for low income public school students. That chapter deeply shaped her commitment to accessibility, equity, and creating opportunities for communities often underserved.

Today, at Music Love Academy, her focus is on building thoughtfully designed programs for all ages and abilities. These include Montessori inspired early childhood classes, private and group instruction, neurodivergent affirming adaptive music programs, and wellness based music experiences for adults.

Her adaptive programs are designed to support neurodivergent children, including autistic learners, through strengths based and regulation supportive approaches that honor individual processing styles, communication differences, and sensory needs.

Her adult wellness offerings extend even further. Madalina has intentionally developed music experiences for individuals navigating pregnancy, IVF journeys, loss, trauma, and life transitions, recognizing music as a powerful tool for nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and healing.

Beyond her academy, Madalina serves as Vice President of the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association and is deeply passionate about mentoring educators and building programs rooted in artistic excellence and genuine human care.

Above all, she is a wife and mother of two daughters. Motherhood continues to shape her philosophy, deepening her understanding of children’s emotional development, neurodiversity, and the importance of safe and nurturing learning environments.

Music Love Academy was created with love and with the belief that a music school can be more than lessons. It can be a place of belonging, healing, growth, and lifelong connection.

“ I believe our community deserves a school with purpose, not just a music school. A place built with love, where every program and every curriculum is created from the heart to serve people in meaningful ways.”
